Introduction to Floristry, Dorset.
This is a perfect course for flower lovers to dip their toes into floristry and a starting point for your career into floristry, requirements are an interest in floristry, creativity and plenty of enthusiasm!
The course devoted to flowers gaining an insight to floristry gaining your knowledge and inspiring your creativity along the way tapping into Julie's thirty plus years in the floristry industry.Each session starts with a demonstration and to show you how it's possible to create gorgeous floral designs.
Then it's over to you to put it into practice and get creative the studio will have beautiful blooms and foliages of the season for you to use and I will encourage you to choose beautiful blooms that inspire you.
The learning environment of the studio is relaxed and informal I teach smaller groups or individuals on the courses so there will be flowery chats, knowledge shared and cups of tea and laughter along the way whilst your inner florist emerges !
On this course we will cover flower conditioning and care,packaging and wrapping,handtied bouquets,arrangements,vase arrangements and sundrie items.
The studio will have beautiful seasonal flowers and foliages to choose from.
Working with the best quality flowers and foliage and giving you the freedom to choose from the selection in the studio.
I teach sustainable techniques and show you different ways you can produce foam free designs I strive to make a healthy future for our environment.
I start with a demonstration talk and show you through techniques and advise you on why certain flowers and foliage work well together.
I want to inspire you and guide you so you can create your own individual designs, I'm there to give you constructive feedback, always supportive the studio is a non judgemental space.
I'm always happy to answer questions and there is no such thing as a silly question!
This is a five week course held at the studio on a Tuesday evening 7pm -10pm.The cost of the course includes tuition,materials,flowers, light refreshments and everything you make is yours to take home.
